On
July 2nd we welcomed Todd and Nicole Yonkman to their
first official day of work as the new church start pastors for a new
congregation in Fishers, IN. Todd and Nicole come to us from Dayton,
Ohio, where they pastored a UCC congregation. For the time being,
they will share an office in the Conference office in the
Interchurch Center. They are still working to sell their home and
hope to move to Fishers shortly. Visit the Fishers New Church blog

Trinity UCC, Gary, Indiana Breaks Ground!
Trinity UCC, a new
church start of the Indiana-Kentucky Conference, broke ground
for its sanctuary at 20th and Lincoln, Gary, IN on
April 29, 2007! There was a brief ground breaking ceremony,
including city of Gary officials at 10:00 a.m. (CDT) at the
site. After the ceremony people proceeded to the Douglass
School, 2700 Jackson St. for worship and a program. This was
followed by a meal and fellowship time. Trinity anticipates
beginning construction this spring.
