National United
Church of Christ. Rebuilding from disasters is a long term
endeavor. Toward that end, help continues to be needed for the
victims of Hurricane Katrina and the hurricanes that hit Florida
the year earlier. In the October all church mailing, look for
brochures on Work Camps in New Orleans and Florida. You are also
encouraged to contact Back Bay Mission. In addition, visit
www.ucc.org for the
section publicizing the need for other volunteer groups. |

Indian Hospital
to Receive Medical Instruments
Through
Gifts and OGHS
Due to the generosity of
St. Peter UCC, Lamar, IN ($2,632), the Lincolnland Association Women
($2,000), and a grant from One Great Hour of Sharing ($5,000),
UCC–related Ludhiana Hospital in India will receive at least $9,632
of medical instruments otherwise not available to them. Through the
contacts of Dr. “Doc” Richmond and his wife, Rev. Janice Richmond,
former IKC and UCBWM short-term missionaries to Ludhiana Hospital,
the funds will be used to purchase small fibro-optic visualization
tools and a laryngoscope for ear, nose and throat specialists in
Ludhiana. To invite “Doc” and Rev. Janice to your church to do a
presentation on the ministry at Ludhiana, please contact them at
janrich53@insightbb.com. |
